News on the deployement of Qorddu grid

Tunisia opens on Qorddu.

Tunisia opens on Qorddu.
The tourism and travel engine for Tunisia is now deployed — indexing destinations, operators, hospitality, and heritage across one of the Mediterranean's most layered travel markets.

unisia is not a simple travel market. It is a country where Roman amphitheatres sit within walking distance of medinas that predate the Crusades, where the Sahara begins an hour south of a Club Med, where business travel between Tunis, Sfax, and Sousse moves through the same infrastructure as Europea

n package tourism. Indexing it properly requires understanding all of it — not flattening it.

The tourism-tn engine is Qorddu's first domain engine for North Africa. Its scope covers the full tourism value chain operating within or directed at Tunisia: destination information, accommodation providers, tour operators and travel agencies, transport links, heritage and cultural sites, and the institutional layer — ministries, tourism boards, certification bodies — that regulates the sector. The engine indexes content in Arabic, French, and English, reflecting the trilingual reality of how Tunisia's tourism industry actually communicates.

"The richest travel markets are the ones that have never been properly indexed. Tunisia is one of them."

Initial deployment focuses on the northern and coastal corridors where data density is highest: Tunis and the Cap Bon peninsula, the Sahel coast from Hammamet to Djerba, and the major inland heritage circuit via Kairouan and El Djem. The southern desert and oasis routes — Tozeur, Douz, Matmata — are in scope for v0.2.0, as is the emerging eco-tourism layer in the Kroumirie mountains and the Ichkeul region.
